Lake properties require special attention.

​Designing and constructing lake property landscapes requires a keen attention to shoreline preservation and lake ecology.  Our designs incorporate native plantings, permeable hardscapes greatly reducing runoff preserving water quality. 

A casual gathering space incorporating native plantings and indigenous stone. Buffer plantings on the slope leading to the lakeshore reduce erosion and filter stormwater in turn assisting in preserving water quality. ​

Stairways and a fireplace both serve to stabilize the slope and shoreline.

​Natural stone stairway is surrounded by natural dense fern cover to anchor soil and slopeside. In the cozy lakeside sitting area (below) we built the native stone fireplace by incorporating it into a retaining wall to serve two purposes.
